Sorry everybody about the missing Miami post, I was super busy with school and didn't get around to it.
So let's get on with the show. The Lakers face the Mavs tonight in Dallas and I think this game means more than the Miami game. This game is a conference game and will likely determine who gets the number two seed in the Western Conference.
The loss in Miami is just another regular season loss. The Lakers didn't get up for the game and frankly the officials blew a few calls here and there. But I'm not blaming the officials for the loss I'm blaming the Lakers. They didn't play a clean game and Kobe decided to ball hog the last few minutes. It's ok Laker nation when playoffs come the game is a lot more different.
Lakers v. Mavs
This is a must see game due to the implications it has. The Lakers are looking to rebound (which they didn't do much in Miami) after the loss in Miami and get the number two seed in the West. If the Lakers can win this game it proves to me that they can play the tough teams in their division. You cant get to the finals unless you win your conference. They have proven they can beat the best, San Antonio, and a win over the Mavericks would definitely boost up the morale. The Lakeshow has a record of 26-11 in the Western Conference and that shows they can win in the West.
Prediction
Lakers will win the game tonight. They are coming off an emotional (not crying) loss to Miami and they will be fired up. They are going to want to show that they are here to win the Western Conference and make it to the Finals. The Mavs will play the Lakers toe-to-toe but I think the Lakers can pull one out in Dallas. Lets make it interesting: Lakers will win by 5 tonight.
When (not if) they get in the finals, they only have to play one team from the East. Miami won't make it because they don't have the defense like a Boston or Chicago. I believe that the two teams I just mentioned, one of them will be in the finals. If I had to choose now, I'd say we are looking at a Finals rematch from last year.
I will be posting up a post-game analysis tomorrow mainly because I will be out tonight watching the game with friends. I don't want to be the guy on his computer writing about the game. Hope everyone has a nice day and enjoy the weekend
Go Lakers.
