Matt Barnes made his return to the court on Sunday and it seemed like he didn't miss any time at all. He scored five points and grabbed six rebounds. Pretty good night after coming back from surgery.
"I just wanted to get out there and run around a little bit and bang into people and see where my body and my knee was," he said. "Everything felt fine. I'm here the rest of the season."
The Lakers enjoyed having Barnes back because he can give Ron Artest a rest and the drop-off between Matt Barnes and Artest defensively isn't that great. It is WAY better than bringing in Luke Walton to try and gaurd an above average ball player.
Barnes said via Twitter about the game, "Besides point shaving on a couple of my layups it felt good to be back on the court. Good win 2day, we gonna keep it rolling."
Let's hope that Barnes and the rest of the Lakers keep rolling on rest of the road trip....its going to be tough!
